As the release of Twilight Saga: New Moon approaches, we are hearing about more official New Moon merchandise. Cardinal Industries has announced the “Twilight New Moon Game” to be released on October 15.

Unlike the Twilight Scene-It game also due to be released in the fall, the Twilight New Moon Game is a regular board game. Amazon doesn’t say much about the game except essentially that you can challenge your friends to see who knows more about New Moon. It contains “Scene Cards” which will presumably relate to scenes from the New Moon Movie.

You can pre-order the New Moon Board Game at Amazon for $14.99.

According to the Amazon website today, there is no date yet available for when this official calendar will be available.

However, Borders is showing two different New Moon 2010 Calendars available for pre-order. It says that they will be released on July 28, 2009. You can pre-order either one. They currently are both showing the official New Moon Poster as their graphic. However, it is possible that this will change before release.

Both of the Borders calendars say that they have 13 images of Bella, James, Edward, and the rest of the cast. The New Moon 2010 Calendar says that it will be 12″ x 12″. The other calendar is called the New Moon 2010 Vertical Calendar and says that it will be 12″ x 6″. That sound more like the one Amazon is showing. It will also have 13 images and is just a little bit less expensive. Both can be pre-ordered now.

Just when I thought that we had seen the end of the official Twilight movie merchandise, I got an email for a new Amazon Exclusive. We have written about the Twilight Trading Cards in the past, but this is a new set 72 cards, a binder, and Peter Facinelli’s autograph. Only 5000 of them will be sold worldwide.

Although there is not much of a description, it looks to me like the cards are the same ones that we have seen advertised in the past. Essentially, they are cards with pictures from the Twilight movie and include facts and information about the movie and the characters.

The set is $39.99 and includes free shipping. They are pre-order only and will ship July 1. I’m not sure that many people will actually be “trading” these cards, but they would make a nice collector’s item for the diehard Twilight fan.
