The game will feature hundreds of Twilight movie clips as well as trivia questions and on-screen questions. You can play mini-games as well as bonus games that challenge you to remember parties of the movie and test how well  you observe what is happening in particular scenes. The game will include a DVD, collectible metal tokens, trivia cards, fate cards, 2 dice, and instructions.

According to Entertainment Earth, the game will be available in October. However, you can pre-order it from them now.

With so many Twilight DVD editions coming out, it’s hard to figure out which one to order. Most of the Twilight DVDs are special editions, and they each come with something different. Below is a breakdown of some of the various options that we have found.

Amazon 2-Disc Special Edition: Amazon is selling the standard 2-Disc special edition but if you want to watch it on release day, this is the place to order. It doesn’t come with any fancy pictures, but it DOES come with a code to be able to watch the digital version of Twilight instantly on release day through Amazon Video on Demand. Plus it’s only $18.

Walmart Standard DVD: This is just the standard Twilight DVD for $17.00. The 2-Disc special edition is $17.97 and includes the movie plus a 7-part documentary on the making of the movie, deleted scenes, and director commentary.

Hot Topic 2-Disc Set plus Film Cell: This edition contains the 2-Disc set plus a collectible film cell of Edward. There are 250 different images available, suitable for framing. It sells for $25.

Borders Twilight Special Edition with Booklet: As far as we can tell, this edition comes with the 2-Disc set (including Borders Book Club interview with Stephenie Meyer) and some kind of “booklet.” The descripion shows 10 exclusive postcards printed on pearlescent paper.

Barnes and Noble Twilight DVD set with Exclusive Free Phone Skin: B&N is selling the standard 2-Disc set but including a customizable Twilight skin for your cell phone, PDA, or MP3 player (from Skinit.com). Price depends on whether or not you are a B&N member (from $23.75 to $26.39).

Target Twilight 3-Disc Set: The Target edition is 3 DVDs plus a free iTunes download of the Twilight movie. It contains the 2-Disc set plus an additional disk of 45 minutes of “never-before-seen content.” This sells from between $18 and $23 depending on the day.

iTunes Twilight Download: Order the regular movie for $14.99 or the Twilight HD for $19.99. Order before March 21 and get a special code to download two extra hours of bonus material.

Having been one of the first sites to break the news of the Twilight DVD pre-order when it appeared on Amazon, we have been watching intently all of the various Twilight DVD deals being posted. This is the big set that Hardwicke mentioned months ago before the Twilight preorders even started. We love that it comes with the iTunes download so that we can take it on our iPod immediately without even having to convert it.

Apparently even Walmart is jumping on the Twilight bandwagon. Walmart announced yesterday that in March and April they will be featuring “Twilight Shops” in their stores where you can buy the Twilight DVDs, Twilight books, Twilight soundtrack, Twilight posters, and other Twilight odds and ends.

Walmart has also announced that you can order the standard Twilight DVD for only $17.00. The site says that you can do an instore pickup or have it delivered. The 2 DVD set is available for $22.86.

If you are into the collectible cell thing, then this is definitely interesting. If you are just waiting for the movie, I would check out Amazon.

Amazon just announced this morning that they are taking pre-orders for the Twilight DVD (Two-Disc Special Edition). Although they do not yet give the Twilight DVD release date, they do allow you to order it now. At this point, there are no details available on the DVD, and they do not yet have a release of Twilight on Blu-Ray.

Updated: Everyone is now confirming a March 21, 2009 Twilight DVD Release date!

We’ve been hearing speculation that the Twilight DVD might be out as early as February 14. However, none of the stores have given any indication that they are getting close to getting the DVDs. In fact, most are not even taking preorders for it yet. However, I did find one site tonight that is doing preorders for the Twilight DVD already, with a tentative U.S. release date of April 30, 2009.

Things From Another World (TFAW.com) has three different Twilight DVDs for preorder: Twilight DVD Blu-Ray, Twilight DVD Reg Ed, and Twilight DVD Spec Ed. This coincides with what we have been hearing about a special Twilight edition with commentary, outtakes, etc.

Prices range from $27.99 to $31.99. That is with the 20% pre-order discount. I’ll continue to keep an eye out for all Twilight DVD preorder options!

Edited: Some sites are now saying that the release date of the Twilight DVD is March 21. The TFAW preorder page still says April 30 but that the DVDs will be sent to coincide with the street release date of the DVD.
