As I mentioned, there is virtually no information about the CD yet. However, as of this post, it is the #7 selling soundtrack on Amazon and #41 overall. Pretty good for a CD without any songs yet!

Edited 08-27-09: We’ve now learned that the song “Meet Me On the Equinox,” written specifically for the movie by Death Cab for Cutie, will be on soundtrack.

Along with the release of the Twilight DVD this week, a new Special Edition Twilight Soundtrack (CD/DVD) has been released by Amazon. The special edition soundtrack contains extra tracks including “Flightless Bird, American Mouth,” which was the song Bella and Edward danced to at the end of Twilight at the prom. Can’t wait to get your Twilight Soundtrack? You can still download the Twilight mp3s as well from Amazon. 17 songs will cost you $11.99, or you can buy some of the songs individually for .99 each. If you are an iTunes user, you can also download the original Twilight Soundtrack for $11.99 from iTunes.

First, you can download Twilight ringtones from Thumbplay. From what I have heard, they are one of the most legitimate ringtone sites. It will cost you about $10 a month and you get to keep any ringtones that you download. They have over 77,000 downloads available. Here’s a direct link to the Muse ringtone for Supermassive Black Hole, but once you get into the site, you can look around for other songs as well such as Decode. This is definitely the easier way to get the Twilight ringtones because you don’t need to have any technical knowledge.

Second, you can create your own Twilight ringtones. If you already have the Twilight soundtrack and would like to make an unlimited number of ringtones, you should check out the software from Avanquest. Ringtone Media Studio 3 is only $15 and you can download it immediately. Here’s a description from their site: “Ringtone Media Studio is the best way to create your personalized ringtones from your mp3s and CDs, mobile movies from your video collection, and picture slideshows or mobile wallpapers from your photo collection. No subscriptions, no contracts, no pay-per-download. Create as many ringtones, wallpapers and movies as you want.” This way to get Twilight ringtones is a little bit more work but is worth it if you want to really customize your phone.

I know that there are ways to get Twilight ringtones for “free”, but honestly most of them are scams or illegal. Just pay the $10-$15 and get the ringtones that you want.

1) Twilight Cullen Family Replica Jewelry. This is by far the most popular Twilight merchandise right now. We did a whole post on the Twilight Cullen Replica Jewelry, so check that out if you are interested. The most popular of the five items is Rosalie’s necklace.

2) Twilight Key Rings and Bag Clips. The price has gone up since we initially posted about the Twilight Keychain and Bag Clips, but they are still a pretty popular item. It’s likely because the price is reasonable and the merchandise is actually reasonable. Check out the Lion and Lamb and Cullen Crest key ring and bag clip post from last month.

3) Twilight Pin Set

We haven’t yet talked about the Twilight Pin set, but it is basically a series of buttons from the movie. The images are the same ones you are seeing on the posters and shirts. The price of the 4 button set starts at 9.99 and is eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping with a $25 total purchase.

4) Mrs. Cullen Twilight Vinyl Car Decal Sticker

This Twilight car decal is kind of cute and only $6.99. It’s available through the Amazon third party seller NS-FX.

5) Twilight Movie Poster Ultimate Fan Gift Set. This poster set just came out in the last couple of weeks and has been a huge hit. We’ve received emails from over 20 of you that you have ordered this in the last few days. Check out the entire Twilight Poster set post.

6) Twilight Soundtrack and Score. We’ve posted before about the Twilight Soundtrack but not the Twilight Score. We actually need to buy the Twilight Score ourselves and then will tell you more about it!
